One of the first albums to use sampling as a musical element, Magnetic Fields showcased a colder, more digital and at times also more rhythmically strong sound than Jarre’s previous works. Partially inspired by Andy Warhol, Magnetic Fields is a tribute to the machines that power Jarre’s compositions.
