About the album
On 11 August 2024, Jean-Michel Jarre closed the Paris Olympic Games at the Stade de France, in front of a crowd of more than 80,000.
The set was a deliberate passing of the torch: Jarre alongside a wave of French electronic artists — Alan Braxe, Agoria, Cassius, Irène Drésel, Kavinsky, Kungs, Martin Solveig — tracing the line from his own early work to the scene it helped make possible. He was joined onstage by longtime collaborator Claude Samard and musician Adiescar Chase, and closed on the laser harp.
Paris Stadium is the record of that night. Three tracks, reworked for a stadium rather than a studio: the title piece, a compressed "Industrial Revolution P2", and "Time Machine". Twelve minutes, released a month later.
